For residential multi-family you must contact the Oklahoma State Fire Marshal's Office (OSFM).
A copy of the house plan (or, for multi-family, the approved building plan) must be submitted to the Town of Calera before a permit is issued. A site plan — a digital rendering or graph paper — must show the approximate location of the building with measurements from boundaries, ROW and any other structures on the site (not to exact scale for single houses or duplexes; other multi-family needs a scaled site plan). Lot surveys are required for all new builds; for new subdivisions with a recorded plat, individual lot surveys are not required. Attachments can be emailed to Town Hall or brought to 110 W Main Street — please reference your confirmation number.

No work can begin until the proper permitting from the Town of Calera and OSFM has been approved. All permits expire 1 year from the date of issuance. Permits must be displayed in a conspicuous location or be made available at the request of the Town of Calera official. Owner or Contractor is responsible for verifying any structures or fencing is on correct property free of easements or ROW and for calling OKIE 811 to locate underground utilities. Ensuring all national and state building and fire codes are met and in compliance is the responsibility of the owner.
